Hero, The beautiful young daughter of Leonato and the cousin of Beatrice. Hero is lovely, gentle, and kind. She falls in love with Claudio when he falls for her, but when Don John slanders her and Claudio rashly takes revenge, she suffers terribly.
Much Ado About Nothing:
A story for the ageless plot of that which is good over all that is evil. Our Hero is innocence and purity. A beacon light that shines a brilliant white. Her fragile heart beats for love alone - a divine truth that reigns supreme for our beloved Hero.
But what is within and what is without may not always appear faithful. Gentle reader, do beware, for ephemeral truth is so easily vilified, maligned, and twisted for the sole pleasure of feeding the hungry fires of revenge and jealousy. Ah, the dark so readily believed, the light so easily dismissed.
Come, take heed - for the world will never cease it’s struggle to balance the forces of love & strife. “Much Ado” indeed, for what is there to all of life than to learn our lessons not once nor twice, but numerous times in pain and grief. Of choice we have none but to witness the acrobatic antics played before us - for the foolish to amuse, the favored to applaud, the misguided to collect, and the wicked to punish.
